About Our Resident opportunities and self-SUFFICIENCY program
The Municipal Housing Agency's Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) Coordinator supports residents at Regal Towers and Dudley Towers by connecting them with resources, guidance, and encouragement to build greater stability and independence. This role focuses on three core areas: Health & Wellness, Elderly & Disabled Services, and Financial Literacy.
What the ROSS Coordinator Does
Following the HUD ROSS program framework, the role is organiszed around five core functions:
1. Working with Residents Introduces program services to residents, listens to understand individual needs, and helps residents set meaningful, achievable goals.
2. Case Management and Coaching Takes a client-centered approach to address needs holistically, while maintaining a welcoming, confidential environment where residents feel comfortable seeking support.
3. Collaborating and Forming Partnerships Builds relationships with local organizations, service providers, and businesses to expand the resources available to residents, and works to sustain those partnerships over time.
4. Measuring Outcomes Tracks program activities and resident progress to ensure services are making a real difference, while keeping organized, up-to-date records.
5. Program Management and Coordination Works alongside Municipal Housing Agency leadership and property staff to plan programming, pursue ongoing training, and keep resident services running smoothly.
